One summer night, Amanda left her job at a local fast-food restaurant with her new friend, Jessica. Jessica was a young woman who Amanda’s boyfriend, Travis, had introduced her to a few weeks before.

 

Travis always seemed to have money, but no job. Still, Amanda didn’t think much of it. He treated her better than any other boyfriend she’d had before.  She fell for him quickly.

 

But Travis worked for a human trafficker. Unbeknownst to her, Amanda had already been sold to the trafficker weeks earlier.

Amanda was taken to the trafficker’s house, where she was repeatedly raped and beaten in a process that traffickers use to break the women down.

 

Amanda was then force-fed narcotics in quantities that ensured a fast addiction. She was kept locked up when she was not being sold for sex over the Internet. Amanda was living one of the most brutal lives imaginable.

 

After a little more than a month, Amanda managed to escape. With her help, local law enforcement were able to locate her trafficker, along with the other women he was holding.

 

The house was raided, freeing all the girls he had enslaved and bringing the trafficker to justice.
